1970 2.2S

Post by left4dead »

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what's being asked for this?

Or maybe someone even knows?!

Cheers,
Steve

I think cars like that go through the auctions in the mid twenties don't they? Probably priced like that to reflect the lack of buyers.

Tis beautiful though isn't it. Superb. 8)
What a lovely car. Shame about the dash top but the high quality workmanship is evident everywhere. I can believe the restoration costs they claim.
'Wonder if it was silver originally?
Why have I got a hazy recollection of Gold? :?
Anyway, whatever the price, it's a bluechip investment. Probably fun to drive too. :)

I have as well, but it would take days (or weeks!) rummaging through old mags to prove..............

Hi,

Having recently finished the full resto on a UK RHD 2.2S and in the midst of another I can relate to the level and standard of work. Few incorrect things here and there but it looks great. The vin is also very close to both my 2.2S which actually came of the production line one after the other! Maybe this one is their brother. It would be interesting to know the build number.

Thanks

Alan

Surely this would go for a long way north of £30 something grand, considering the previous ownership, race history, etc.??? Looks lovely!!

Boy no recession there then. Wounder what the market will pay for it, time will tell.

Nice looking car when you look at the detailed pictures.

Really? Sounds like a bargain to me!

Having said that 'The Baron' (the blue 2.0S) has been up for circa £60k for many months now if that's any indicator...

I think I'll take the ex Teddy Yip, thanks!

Anyone fancy a 2.4S :?:

Well, I wouldn't sell the 2.4 to buy the 2.2 - now that would just be silly
I would love the Teddy Yip car though! :drunken:

Bad news is I may be forced to sell the 2.4.... :( :( :(

I cannot fault the Decapman for his generosity when it comes to garaging but the reasons are far worse :x (and Annabel has just gained a stunning double garage in the East Sussex area  )
