Recently aqquired a 67 911s
Hi, recently bought a Dec 1967 911s (German supplied) which has had a lot of recent work (full body restoration, engine rebuild etc) and would appreciate any help in tracing the provenance and history.

Hi Rob, welcome to DDK and Porsche ownership.
as a starting point you could e-mail the Vin & engine No and any other useful details to a Marc Noack at the Porsche factory. and he'll may be able to confirm build date, original spec, and who (dealer) it was delivered to.

Thanks for all your prompt help. I have emailed Marc. It seems to be an interesting car with a huge amount of money spent in the past 2 years. ( Full engine rebuild costing £9821 in July 08, full body restoration and retrim, refurbised Fuchs, new SSI exhaust system and more!) It is a 1968 LHD German model in Silver with a working sunroof and was first registered in the UK in December 1997. I picked it up from Coys Ascot auction last month. It is presently gararged in Winchester and will shortly be moving to Marlow. If anybody fancies a look at (and a drive!) I would really appreciate it as I am a relative novice to old 911s!

I have wide experience of driving other people's cars so would love a shot of your S!!! Seriously it would be good to get some pics and to know what tyres you are running on the car (the most important thing in my opinion). The SWB S is such a forgiving and fun car to drive

Wonderful, marvelous, well done, she`s a beauty.
Just as a matter of interest, if the distributor number is easily accesible, could you post it some time,(or pm me) Bit of a strange request, I know, but it would help with the fascinating research I am presently undertaking
Truely lovely car, nothing quite like Webers at 7100 revs. Check out the 2.0s road test in the 911 road test sticky
Cheers, Mike.
