Look, will you stop displaying your stainless steel porn on an open forum, thats the kind of thing which will get us both banned

got to say though, I do like the caps, they do seem rather more 'finished' than mine. Are you securing them the same way as mine, so you get a small hole in the end when the caps are off. surely you'd be loosing vital back pressure due to these bolt holes, which is why, obviously I'm that much quicker than you. Hmmm Paging Mr carter, paging Mr Carter, there's a call on line 1.

As it happens I've found these on the early911s forum and love 'em

and also these, which i assume are to protect the back box etc from speed bumps

what do you think?

I was planning on fitting these little critters and having 'R type' hinges.
But I think that with the aluminium it's asking a lot of the metal. I'm reluctant to put too much strain on the lid so I'm not using these.

Since becoming so enamored of my aluminium deck lid I've been chasing after weight saving more than I thought I would.
I've gone for 'glass bumpers front and rear and I've also abandoned steel for the front wings.

The decision to go fiberglass with the wings was prompted as much by weight saving as the difficulties in getting steel arches fashioned.
We had some steel arches produced but the fit was poor and Nicks Fraise car has fiberglass wings that proved to be excellent.
His are more lightweight 'racing' versions, mine are slightly heavier more resilient 'road' versions.

This is going to be one fantastic car, and the 'ST' being my favourite.

Is the exhaust a modified standard Dansk or a custom 'one off' - i.e. are they available to purchase or do they have to be made from a supplied exhaust ?

Does Nick supply fibreglass 'narrow body' bumpers like those - I need some (perhasp) ?

Yes, I believe it is, there's certainly been some work done on the internal baffles (based upon what the factory used to do). Talk to Nick for more info, I'm sure he'd be happy to help you with exhausts, bumpers, any parts.

Are you keeping the 'R type' rear decklid hinges or are you interested in selling them? If not where did you get them?

Drilled stock hinges do look cool...

Lovely gear but pricey. $250. You can buy mine for £125 UK delivered. Save on any tax and carriage plus a good exchange rate. Your money's better invested in hinges these days.
