Ignition box query

Hi all
Will a ignition box from a 911sc fit an earlier car?
ie a 2.2e

I am reasonbly sure that any 3 pin CDI box will fit your car, I think some later cars had 3 pin CDI but PET states a differant part number for the SC CDI box, you require 901 602 702 00 and the SC CDI number is 930 602 702 00. The early part number goes up to cars made up to 1977 thats up to 3.0 Carrera. So it looks as if the SC will not fit.

John is right: the SC ones is a six pin CDI, whilst the other CDI boxes up to the july 1977 Carrera 3.o or 911 2.7 were 3 pin.

You will need a 3 pin.

Are you on CLM? Because I'm taking a spare 3 pin CDI box for the just in case scenario's.

I'm sure that Tim (impmad 2000) ought to have a spare one as well??
