My RHD 1971 911 2.2E Coupe

Well I've posted a lot of pictures of internal bits of my car before, but realised I've never actually posted any of it as a "whole" so to speak (apart from one in my introductory post)

So here are the details:

Type 911E Coupe 2,2l (originally 155hp - now 177hp with 2.2S pistons and bored out cylinder head intake ports and throttle bodies to S spec)

Delivered to AFN Reading 01 March`71

Color 1818=albertblue

Original Interior 32=leatherette beige,middle of seats corduroy - Now Black leather with houndstooth inserts on Recaro Sport Seats, work done by Alan.UK

Options fitted:
402=Koni dampers (not hydropneumatic) "S"front brakes (3.5" not 3" spacing)
404=stabilizer front and rear 15mm
425=rear wiper
568=colored windows
650=sliding roof
651=power windows
and has acquired front Hella fog lights too

She's a good 5 yard car, couple of body issues to sort eventually, but shes a driver not a show car

New Sisal mats help

and of course she sports one of these

Looks like you have washed it!!

Real nice apart from the fact it has the steering wheel on the wrong side.

That looks great James. You must be happy with all the recent work put into the car.

Front and rear seats also look pretty good

The combination of leather and houndstooth really suits your car.

If you still need rear 1/4s that cover the inertia mech, give me a call.

Yep, it doesnt happen too often so had to take some pictures just to prove it

Thanks Alan, the car is really starting to come together now, in fact I even managed a weekend without taking significant parts of it apart

I see quickfit SBS have changed the design of their rear belt mechs ... those look at lot better than the one I got from them a couple of years ago. I see the new ones don't need to be mounted horizontally now

Yeah,it was a hire car I rented in Ireland.The girl behind the desk said it was something to do with being able to drive it North and south of the border.... European legislation or something.

I don't know why Albert Blue is not seen more frequently on early 911's/912's - it really suits these cars.
