Information for fuel filter 73S

Has anyone recently purchased a fuelfilter for MFI 1973 sor 73RS,can only find them at Porsche at the cost of £ 50.00

Just Ordered one today believe it or not, ordered mine from type-911 £30

I get mine from Eurocar Parts ... £29-70 + VAT (genuine Bosch)

I have found some issues with the rubber sealing ring on these filters in recent times. The rubber perishes and expands with lots of cracking seen when you remove them. My advice to all would be remove on a regular basis and check the condition of the seal ring. I have only encountered this problem within the last 18 months - feedback from your experiences would be most welcome. I am concerned that a failure of this seal could end in costly damage if not total loss through the resultant fire.
