MFI Speed Switch Wanted

Post by 2.4TE »

My speed switch for my 1972 911 with MFI is toast: two components have broken off (and were rattling around inside) and it’s showing all of its 36 years.

Does anyone either have a good used one I can buy, guaranteed to be working, or know where I can buy one from?

The part no. is Bosch 0333 400 001. Another number is 12V/13.5/6

I've been told they're no longer available.

Many thanks.

I have a spare one that I lent to Mike (210bhp) last year when he was experiencing problems with his speed switch - see this thread:

http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... eed+switch

It was found to be working perfectly & has been on the shelf since.

If you want to try it, pm me your address & I can get it in the post tomorrow morning.

Dr Dave

Andy and Tim helped me out with this same problem as you will see on that other thread. They were great. If you need any more advice let me know. I do have a working speed switch which I bought on ebay to keep as a spare once I had worked out what was wrong. You can borrow it to test your system if you need it.

Regards
Mike

Mike,

That's very kind, thanks so much. Indeed, both Andy and Tim have volunteered to help. What a generous club this is! It's so refreshing.
