how do you remove the dash in my 912 1966 , i am lost lol any help please thanks owen nw

I had one on a '69 911E I imported several years ago - my opinion is that they look horrible !
In case it's not clear, they are vacuum-formed plastic which fit over the top of the existing (cracked) dash.

Re-pading your dash ??
Not having gone thru the different models from year to year i was wondering why you guys are tearing your windows out to re-apolster your dash?
I have a 912 from 67 and found that 2 bolts hold the entire dash in place i got to them from under the frontbonnet.
In the car i gently liftet the button front edge loose - here its held in place by the usual small clips.
After that its lift and out and then rip the old thorn vinyl of.
Its held to the middel with a metal piece thats straight in the passager side and curved around the back of the nstrumnet house.
The whole assembly starts here in the middel of the dash seeing as this metal band holds both the front and rear section of inyl down and gets locked by small metal taps( you drag the metal band into place and push straight down to lock)
After that its just draging and shaping the new vinyl into place with glue and lots of gentle (but quite hard) work....
The pics below are straight after it was put back in but since then its settled much more nicely.
For a first try i am more than pleased with the result and i now know where to apply tricks and how to do it so next time around should be even more perfect.
Hell i might even try real leather one day. Hehe
