Thanks folks: I have to say when I put it back in it's stealth garage yesterday I did feel a bit gloomy. Offset somewhat by the fact that the new owner and I got on well, and that we'll probably see plenty of the car in the future.
As for me? Well, I'll concentrate on the workshop for now, but over the next year or two keep an eye out for something suitable to tuck away in the barn if anything crops up at a super-dupa price (in no particular order):
3.2 / SC to backdate into a narrow body early car (and lightened).
3.2 / SC to turn into a 'Limey' '74 Carrera looky-likey.
RHD really, really, really rusty 2.4T,E,S
Or even:
914 to convert into RHD 914/6 or supercharged 4
Smashed targa to convert into narrow bodied, flush bumpered speedster.
All RHD, or to be converted ....
Anyway, for now it'll be lots of scurrying about the workshop, and possibly a slight update of the old trusty BM.

Barry, can't you shoe horn a 2.4 MFI into the back of the Cappo?
Nice project that, a rear engined, light-weight, little runabout.
That'll keep you busy.
