Not what you want to come back to...

Post by jury »

..came back to my car afew weeks ago to find that someone had reversed into the the front end.

Not only had they dented the bumper but also had some how managed to dent the hood as well! And to add insult to injury no note was left, which is a pain when you have a high detuctable (I hope that some day there is a system setup that recognises no cliams bonus' which can be transferred to different countries). However it turns out that if I file a police report I can claim that the damage was done by an uninsured driver and reduces my out of pocket costs considerably.

The good news was that I decided to get around to replacing the front suspension pan at the same time as having the repairs done. It was just starting to show signs of rust coming through.

I found a local garage/shop willing to take the work and they couldn't be more helpful. I actually already had the suspension pan at home waiting for another project, but the guys sourced everything else they needed didn't add any excess charges, and fought the insurance company to allow them to respray the entire hood, wings and blend into the doors.

Picked up today! looks great, new suspension bushings were added when putting it all back together, handleing is much improved and the owner is very happy again :)
