hello mate. replace like with the like would be my first thought, unless you really dont like the brand/type of tyres you already have.

I'm running 15" Fuchs on my E, so probably of limited assistance. My tyres are Bridgestone RE88s all round. They seem fine (although fronts want replacing). Obviously you dont need super high performance tyres on a 12E. If you are on a budget, I believe Kumho (KH12?) are quite decent.

Thanks for that boz. Always on a budget I'm afraid but if there were some really bad ones out there I'd sure want to avoid them. And, as you say, I don't need anything special.

I'd go for a brand you can afford, the 912e isn't going to be a tyre muncher, those Dunlops on the back I thought where pretty decent, they didn't cost the earth. Just make sure you change to the exact size that is already fitted, the rears won't go wider without rubbing the arch.

just following up cos I'm off sick from work and booooored.

Nige&Boz, I kinda took both your advice and changed like for like except put dunlops all round. Can you believe I saved 288euros by walking maybe 1/4 a mile from one shop to another to get those tyres - in fact the cheaper folks are prob a 5 minute walk for my house. Small outfit you'd hardly know exist.
