Classic LeMans Camping - Payment

Post by hot66 »

As you all know, to ensure DDK all camp together on the same campsite, I have booked the 39 camping passes in my name.

I have booked us all onto Maison Blanche which I have been told we will be on, but until ACO take our money this isn't guaranteed.

At this stage I have no idea when payment to ACO is due, but as the total bill is 37 x 80 euros + postage I would like to get the DDK payments in so I can pay for the tickets when required.

The plan is ACO will send me all the tickets & I will then forward them onto everyone. This way you will save over £12 / ticket in ACO postage costs.

The main problem I envisage with me asking for the money in advance is not knowing what the actual exchange rate is going to be when I pay ACO. To get around this I will ask for a fixed £ amount and then refund it as required. This refund I will send with tickets.

To aid with me posting the tickets I'll ask for you to send me a stamped addressed envelope with payment.

So to round it all off, here are the payment details :

Please send me a POST DATED FOR 1st MARCH 2008 cheque for £66.00 ( this is 80 euros + £ 5 currency fluctuation) . I will not bank the cheque until ACO ask me for payment from me.

With your cheque please send me a STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE WITH 1st CLASS STAMP

When I receive the tickets I will send them off in the SAE along with a cheque for any variation in currency.

If I don't receive payments from anyone they will not be getting tickets !!!!

PLEASE EMAIL ME ON : hot66@btconnect.com FOR DETAILS OF WHERE TO POST YOUR CHEQUES

Hope this is all OK :) It is the only way I can think of which doesn't leave me exposed to a couple of grand

This applies only to those I have on the list

Hi James,

Sorry to Bogart your thread; you mention that this notice is for the people on your list. Is this notification per se, that there won't be any more places? Have you had word back from the ACO yet?

Cheers,

Steve. :)

ACO have not said one way or another if I can have more spaces. I have enquired again ( last night I emailed them) and they have basically said they are busy sorting out the 24Hr LeMans stuff & won't start on the Classic LeMans allocations etc until they have finished the 24hr work

I've only had 14 of you email / contact me for details of where to send the cheque

Remember, when I get asked by ACO to pay for the tickets, if I don't have your cheques I won't be paying for / booking your camping passes.
