Hi Derek

are you after both front and rear 930 calipers?

I sourced the rears for my 914 from douglas valley at a pretty reasonable price - the last set f&r on ebay I saw were on there for £1200

I am on the trail of a set at the moment, just need a little luck.

Prices are crazy but the 3.6 will need it. Can't skimp on brakes

What will be the spec of your brakes all told? I'm interested in upgrading the brakes on my '69T

Hi Martin

Your 69T will probably not have 3.5inch spacing for your calipers to mount to. This will stop you upgrading your brakes easily.

If you have the 3.5 spacing you can upgrade easily and quite cheaply to SC or 3.2 Carrera brakes.

I have 3.2 Carrera brakes for mine which I will use if I can't find turbo stuff at the right price.

Thanks Derek, I'm thinking along the lines of fitted radially mounted early Boxster calipers as they physically smaller than the other monoblocks 944 or 993/6 etc and so should fit behind 15" Fuchs

Boxster brakes would be a good upgrade as you require adaptors for those anyway so could get adaptors to fit your 69

I had Carrera 3.2 front & rear brakes on my black 2.8 twin-plug car with 255bhp - stopping power was excellent.

Thanks guys, I don't really want to change my front legs to 3.5", if I can avoid it, as they're in excellent condition with Bilsteins.
I figure radial/axial caliper mounts are only a lump of ally plus I *think* I can source the Boxster monoblocs fairly cheaply...

Derek - I'd agree with the others - in hindsight I wouldn't go to the grief of using turbo calipers again (but they do look good!)

Hi all

The breaker with the turbo has sold the whole car

Looks like it's back to the 3.2 brakes
