Fender question

Post by eki912 »

I have a small problem , car heading for painting.
On trailer , booked for transportation tomorrow.

Anyway , my drivers side front fender , lower rear corner. Rusty...

Options are :
- new , expensive
- used , not that easy to locate good ones
- repair parts , for that area
- repair parts , from a good used one ( front damage )

Do you know if the repair parts are available anywhere ?
Anyone have a front damage fender lying in their garage?
Tips , hints , links ?

Oh yes , so it is -76 , and a 912E. And coming from the States so it is LHD , and I am talking about the left front fender.

It is possible to repair this section. A friendly fabricater more skilled than I made this repair panel for my wing.

It took him about an hour, but he really knew what he was doing!

(it's been painted properly since this was taken, and I've got some decent tyres!)

Good luck with your paint work :)

Fixing fenders

Post by eki912 »

I know it can be done !
It is a matter of cost... Still debating , to buy a new one or not.
My , skilled welder , said he can fix it , but mentioned it would be a lot faster , if I can get my hands on some repair pieces.

These ( www.alfaparts.net/911.htm ) are for older model.
Will these parts also work on a -76???
