What sort of fog/driving lights are these?

Post by Burma-Shave »

OK, I've figured out theyre Hellas! :?

The Schrager book says that the original 356 fog/driving lights are Hella 128's but these have #K8221 and 2-100 948 written on them - no '128' anywhere. The car was tarted up in the 70's, and I suspect they might have been fitted then, but they dont look like theyve done many miles (in such a vulnerable place) so maybe not..?

I dont even know if they are meant to be fog or driving lights. I am unfortunately selling them to keep the sums adding up, but need to know what to call them (and how much to ask) when I put them up - on ebay prolly. I guess they fit 911 too?

I'm no expert on foglamps but they look like (the newer version of) 128's to me...

Where's Ian (Gunney) ?...

Found them at KK here

Except theirs have a Vee shaped line on the glass which mine dont. Not sure what the significance of this is. Maybe the vee is the fog light and mine is the driving light?

I would also add that as Andy says they are the later type - no difference re what they fit (356 B and C) and 911/2 up to 68
