Chrome plating

Post by super_golfer »

Can anyone recommend a good place for chrome plating in the Berkshire area?? I am thinking of getting my bumper overriders and horn grills done.

Cheers

Not quite the Berkshire area but I have had great chrome done by Hampshire Electroplating in Southampton.

I have had maybe ten batches of chroming done by them for countless Raleigh Chopper bikes and the restoration of my Volvo 1800.

Your horn grilles might be a problem as you need to find someone who can plate 'mayzak' (sp). That is what they are made from and it's very difficult to get rid of the pitting. I used London and Brighton Plating for my other bits. http://www.lbplating.com/

I spent many an hour filing out some of the pitting on the horn grilles before rechroming on my '12

S&T near Bristol did the rechroming on my car back in 1999 and it still looks great now
