I had mine recast. It snapped both sides after i whacked it having a hissy fit in traffic... it was in my oval at the time but now hangs above the door in the barn waiting it's turn

'96. Toured around the industrial estates in Peckham - Borough door-knocking until i got a lead on a small foundry near Tower Bridge who did me two off the same buck. Lots of finishing for me but worked fine. A little filler in the pinholes and a few good coats and it was hard to tell the difference from the genuine one.

I looked into this for a full T6 ring. Thought about producing some repros but it started to look too complicated and too many processes. chroming etc to make it worthwhile for a small run and keep the quality.

Your's should be easier and you can paint it yourself!!

I have snapped things like this before and with a fine drill drilled both 'ends' then used a metal pin with epoxy to make a good strong repair. Then fill and repaint. Got the idea from a mates leg, his was pinned with titanium though.
Works for me...

Forgot to add, you need to drill carefully and use an oversize bit to your pin so allowing for a bit of misalignment. This is all assuming you can 'deflect' the ends enough to drill, I use a dremmell.

I know a guy near me who would be able to make patterms up and get them cast.
His work is unbeliveable and he's a Porsche nut too,he just makes things for the hell of it,917 pedals,Four Cam cam cover desk ornaments,He's made exact bucks for a 550 Spyder and a ferrari sharknose and his next buck project is a Mercedes GP car,all of that and building and exacy copy of a Porsche 908L in his spare time!
A horn ring would'nt be a problem,could even do whole one's?

firstly which is the material ? aluminium or white metal ? ....maybe you can repair it easily but best quality is like Evil j bored ant tap to put a screw on one side ... and second side with epoxy glue....
fiishing the works with epoxy putty and painting is a game ....
