I still think a huge amount is going to be carb related and the set up.
If your that concerned drop it out and wip the heads off..
check the heads for cracks
clean them up..
relap the valves
check the washers height under the springs.
CC the heads..
put it all back togeather..
then get started working on the carbs check the linkages
check the carbs even work properly esp the accellerator jets and get it all timed up and if should be ok from there.
also swap the disy over I did this once just out of sheer well I checked every thing else and quess what !! it was the disy weights were buggered..

Have just this evening discovered its running a 009 dizzy, so that ain't gonna help!
Dizzy and carbs first and if that doesn't sort it then we'll start looking at other potential "issues"
Thanks for everyones input.
Rest of the cars great though... I'll try and get some proper pics up soon

Sprintstar67 - you state the motor has been recently rebuilt. Do you have info on the balancing of the engine, I presume it was dynamically balanced (i.e. all the reciprocating parts)? Sometime the clutch is left off or installed slightly off centre which can cause vibration. another thought/possibility to add to the puzzle....
