mfi fuel pump for 1973 911E

Hi, I am desperate for a mfi fuel pump for a 1973 911E. These are like gold dust, but maybe someone has a new one they don't want?! Alternatively, info on an aftermarket supplier to at least get the car up and running until I find the correct pump..Thanks

Suggest you search the forum and call round some of the MFI experts listed. Sure someone will have what you need. It won't be cheap though

I did a search earlier & couldn't find anything.

Sally is looking for the fuel line pump that mounts over the rear torsion bar & not the main MFI pump.

I'm interested in this as it seems these original pumps are no existant. Anyone know the specs of the original pump , pressure & flow?

Thanks for the replies. I must have contacted 100 or so suppliers, both here and in US. I sourced a new part from Pelican Parts in US, which I bought over the web, but after several phone calls and e-mails it turned out that there was no pump, even though their site claimed it had one.

It seems PP's reputation is pretty dire for this sort of tactic.

Bosch won't make any new pumps until they have a guaranteed back order in over 4 figures, and I can't establish from Porsche where they are now with numbers. Done me homework!!

Will just keep looking! I have a substitute one on order, hopefully inthe next month until the genuine thing surfaces!

Sally - I had the same problem as you back in about february time for my '71 E. In the end I was able to get one from here

Don't know if you have tried them as part of your search yet - they're not cheap but at least they had one, worth calling as you say to check

Mfi fuel pump specification is:

Operating pressure - 1 bar (approx 14.2 psi)

Flow rate - 125 litres per hour

You can use a later style motronic pump and an adjustable regulator like the PMO one. I know supertec do this on alot of the cars they build. There is a thread on pelican about this that I started a few months back ill try and find the link.

Thanks for the suggestion...however! If you look at my previous posting, you will see what I think of Pelican Parts, having had quite a run in with them!
I have now found an aftersales pump from KMI 020 7385 7138. They are based in Fulham, London, and have been extreemly helpful and proffesional.
