Re carpets, try Southbound and Forestfine
Bought mine from there - no apparent problems, not sure which was the most competitively priced cos I bought a front luggage set as well
Priced both at both suppliers - there was quite a difference in cost but without digging out the receipt couldn't tell you which was which

carpet wise I guess the question is whether you want to go for originality or looks.

Originally would have had boucle carpet (same as 356s, Mercs of the period) along with rubber mats for floor and central tunnel.

Southbound did the carpet set for my 912 which wasn't ridiculously priced but then there wasn't much to it really as I kept the rubber mats.
