Hi peeps, has anyone got a vw alternator to fit thier 912, not boasting but i have with a lot of blood sweat and swearing, let me know if you want me to sort some pictures out before i fit to the car, nig :bigsmurf:

I'll be offering custom cast generator stands later this year, which will allow straight forward fitting.

Now you tell me hahah, yanks want £350 for that conversion, i have the cast you need, Do you want to talk buisness, have used original stand and tank with a vw beetle alt conversion costing £90+vat, ill send some photos to you, ta, nig vivandkirby@tiscali.co.uk

Yep, they're pricey abroad - Already have the cast, just waiting for the copies 8) I reckon it'll be a welcome and long overdue break from troublesome dynamos, voltage regulators and flickering red lights...

Just what I've been trying to source for the last couple of years. Please let me know what's required and what is available and how to do it. Electrics do not worry me, mechanicals do! (I'm still learning!)

If available soon, I should be able to fit before the Norwich Union Classic in mid-October. Possible?
