Car looks fantastic !! Have you put her through her paces yet ? Did she start without problems after the long journey and does she drive as well as she looks ( the car that is ).

i spoke to the first owner and he drove it every day for 30years and went in snow and everything in it so i do hate having it out in the rain but dont feel guilty. i just had to get it on a rainy day :-(
here's a picture he sent to me on the first day he bought it.
we're having a big dialogue at the moment. i found a lucky quarter in the ash tray and i asked him about it and he said he left it there!

it started on first crank fter a boost to the batteries and drives so smooth i love it thoroughly. all the levels are reading fine.
not pushed it too hard yet, just getting used to the gearbox its all different to my other car. but i love the throttle response, and the sound is just heavenly. mmmm. the engine smells new if you know what i mean - smells like a new car engine when its running in.
it passed its danish MOT today and all was perfect, on the ramp the underside was really sweet.
i have a couple of niggles - 1 is the drivers door only locks from the inside, the electric sunroof has a noisy electric sound when it pulls back or forward - maybe thats normal? and my batteries havent fully recharged so i had to push start it for its MOT (very embarrasing). so once those are sorted and an oil chage and filters etc i'll let my mechanic give it a hardcore inspection and hopefully he wont find any big problems.
its the best feeling in the world! a big big smile inducer!

ps guess what doesnt work? of course the clock! :-)

it fired straight away richard although the batteries where dead so we had to jump it. it has new ones now. drives just great like its on rails. my other car is a lot of fun in a different way, switching to a long wheel base car is such a difference - more poised and less adventure somehow, more intuitive.
