Clueless from Clapham
Evening all. I've been the proud owner of a 1969 912 for a few months now. I fell in love with the cars years back and am stoked to now own one. I was introduced to this site by James Puttock (23e Heure) who lives a few doors down.
Although i'm now an owner, i can't claim to know what i'm doing so i'll no doubt be posting all sorts of ridiculous questions in due course. Steep learning curve ahead!

Having a few troubles posting a pic while following instructions on the site. Any pointers welcome if you can see what i'm doing wrong...

welcome to DDK.
don't worry about asking stupid questions (i do it all the time) they are a very tolerant lot here as long as your a real enthusiast and the questions are genuine, then they really don't mind.
the aim is for DDK to get as many road worthy cars as possable and then help to keep them that way.
not sure i have ever seen a white 912, rather like it

Don't worry, Crossley has already been assimilated, and is booked for the BBQ!Viv_Surby wrote:Not too late at allHelen wrote:is it too late for him to join us at the Fairmile BBQ
All it took was for him to innocently stop and talk to me as I was tinkering with my car one Sunday,
and I applied the DDK mind meld on the poor lad
He's getting a lift down with me (Viv, any spare tickets?)
Shame you won't get to see his 912 this time, but am sure it won't be long...

Hi guys thanks for the warm welcome!
I'd love to come along to Fairmile, James had mentioned it, so look forward to meeting a few of you there.
Unfortunately, my car is kept in Essex and not South London as i don't have a garage and i wasn't too keen on leaving it on the street so i may not be able to bring it too many do's. I'm sure i'll bring it out once or twice though.
The white is a re-spray, under the bonnet you can see traces of the original ivory white - think some Californian hippy sprayed it white about 6 years ago. The condition isn't too bad although if you get up close she's a little rough round the edges...
