Exhaust ID

Hello all,

I have an MOT coming up soon and have a strong suspicion my current exhaust is past it's sell by and may be my downfall. In anticipation of this and lining up a replacement I was curious if anyone could ID what I currently have in place.

It's originally a Californian car and I'm guessing it's the stock supplied original however wouldn't honestly know one way or the other - any thoughts?

Stock as per picture

Bursch a good all round replacement very popular esp in the US

Dansk Sport what I run

Porsche Sport ... don't like and don't seam to run all that well anyway from what I have seen results wise.

Well you can't go wrong with stock, runs well and performance is good from the results. Bursch is cheaper well it is in the US and has a good alround performance and the figures show it runs well at 4000 rpm which between 3000-4000 is what you want Bursch , Dansk and then Stock..

do not buy any VW items if they fit then they will just trottle back the performance..

I forgot to mention the Dansk is a little louder than the others.. er like people think it was a 911 coming down the road and then I turn up.

Doesn't look too bad, remember whatever you do keep as many bits that are serviceable as they are ££ to replace. The system is made up of a lot of separate bits from the tip - F tube - silencer - J tubes and Heater boxes see what you can save.

thanks for the advice guys - I shall indeed keep what i can

good info on the Dansk bark v. bite factor too I think the car gets just the right level of attention now and would hate to over excite people unnecessarily

why??? 90 BHP from a standard 4 pot V 110 BHP from a standard 911T don't think it would unnecessarily excite any one

mind you once ( and when I do get it finsihed ) I can join in with Gavin and the 125bhp croud.. but that;s going to cost to join that club..like £5K +

yep that does sounds like a lot of fun! Would love to get there but think it will be some time before I can stretch to it.

In the meantime no complaints at all about the 90 horses I have currently at my disposal, certainly put a smile on my face
