more money that I paid I paid £29.99 for a pair just check out it works first as i saw I for got how I did most of it.. I can get a pair of h4 out and these angel lamps and see if I can change them over and I can post how I did it.. at the weekend..

Success...Carolyn and I have hit our target of £1500, thanks to all you generous people out there.

However, we've now become very greedy and would still like to make more for Macmillan Cancer Support. After all, statistics trell us that one in three people will probably suffer from cancer in their lifetimes and we all probably know of someone, friend or family, that has suffered, or is suffering. Without funds, Macmillan Cancer Support cannot operate.

We're back from our marathon drive...and what fun it was. Brilliant scenery and weather in Scotland, Good to awful weather in Ireland...but scenery not as good...and road surfaces appalling.

Carolyn and I managed to raise £1700 by the end of the Tour, and together, all 35 entrants raised around £70,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. A terrific amount...and the best yet. Means that the total amount handed over to Macmillan Cancer Support is around £220,000 over the past four years.

Next year's event will run from Cape Cornwall to Cap Ferat...and I'm saving up for the entry fee already.

New round of fund raising starting soon...must beat this year's total.

Thanks to all who supported the pair of us...2800 miles in the 912, only snag was fuel flowing out of both carbs...fixed by tightening banjo union on both carbs. Still running rich, though, but other than the od mini-explosion on start up, engine runs sweetly once up to temperature. Perhaps a rebuild of carbs may be on the agenda...

But it includes: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at all the overnight hotels; usual rally plates; well researched and written Road Book; Gala Dinner on final night; Finishers awards and some special mementoes. And takes seven days, all told.

But what an experience...and worthwhile for the friendships of the rest of the participants and th feeling that you are doing something worthwhile for those whose work supports those who suffer cancer in all its guises.

Carolyn and I are beginning to save up...and we've started fund raising already. I'm even looking for a job (any job) that will help raise the entry fee.

Requests for entrants going out in about four weeks with requirement of a £250 deposit. Tour 2007 entry fee for the first couple of months was around £1100, later entrants had to pay slightly more: £1300.

Still good value for an excellent event with 3 to 4 star hotels every night and excellent dinners.

We are doing the Cpe to Cape again...

Now with updated (halogen) headlights so we can were where we are going at night! And more secure driver's side door mirror...useful in France on a LHD 912!

Both those constraints were problematic when we took the 912 into France after the Norwich Union Classic Tour...

Now we need to sort out the passenger's side window as once it is down, it won't come back up without someone jumping out and lkifting it manually.
