Wanted - Pins for attaching paint code plate

Post by tanick »

I'm looking for a source of the pins that attach the paint code plate. They are proving hard to get. Small, steel pins with a slight taper and thread. Not sure of the part number but I'm sure you know what I mean.

If there is no source, is anyone else looking for them?

Apparently they're NLA. I have factories in China making stuff like that and was thinking of making a few (thousand). I've sent a sample to them today so we'll see.

They look the same but too small. The one I have is 6.00mm long, diameter of the end 1.60mm and the head 3.10mm. Got any other sizes?

If you buy a replacement paint code plate, the pins come with the plate. The plates are pretty cheap, not an ideal solution, but an option.
