My engine shelf came this morning from restoration designs. I had brilliant service -left an email and they called me back next day, took card details and it was here couple of weeks later (sans import duty
-result)
Now lets see if I can blow holes through it with my amateur welding...

And view towards the rear the end is the bulkhead for the rear boot (or trunk) and the arrow shows the boot lid torsion bar clamp reinforcement

Finished pretty much all the repairs except putting in the new engine shelf. Much more rusty metal than I thought there would be and I had to remove the 4 cyl engine mount and replace all the metal underneath it.
Reached a small milestone by tacking in the last piece tonight and closing up the firewall. This small piece has taken me about 2 weeks on and off (around 1hr each evening)

There's a small amount of tweaking before I plug weld the flanges but I was pleased with the fit and the welds were just right -nice + shiny
