Post by Mike »

I've been a stupid boy........... and gone and lost one! During the rear suspension sort out, misplaced one of my torsion bar access plates, don't ask

If anybody's got a odd one laying around, any condition/colour together with the plastic seal and fixing bracket, I would be very grateful, will buy a pair if you don't want to split them.
cheers, Mike.

Mike,

FWIW - Just watch with ordering new from Porsche. I did the same through Forest Fine with the correct part number and they sent me something completely the wrong shape. In fact I sent the part back months ago and still no refund  It could be an issue with their catalogue not being correct but I checked and re-checked the part number. Might be the same case as the Targa top seals where the part number is correct, but the actual part you're ordering is not the same spec as original.

I have a pair on order from Andy if he ever finds them in his mountain of parts

Suspension looking lovely btw - I'm upgarding mine too atm (bushings & complete new rear axles) and alignment to come 8) :P

These are available new as Mike says. 901.504.079.00. They are not cheap but they invariably need replacing during a respray or suspension work as the thread breaks off when you try to undo the nut. Most body shops have a piece of equipment that can be used to weld a new thread on very neatly.
