My toooo coool 12

Post by hunter »

Have had some work done on my 12 recently. Carbs set up, new RSR dizzy, genny replaced (cooling fan was full o' shite)

Might seem like an odd complaint it seems to be running too cool. The needle only gets up to the 1/4 mark on the gauge - even after a 40 mile run.

Any ideas on things i should check out and is it likely to cause any problems.

Heaters are warming up etc.

Could it just be a faulty sender?

it idles lovely @ 900.......until it warms up and then the revs start to rise to about 1500  i know the carbs need a rebuild ....
more doh rae me and a 6 week wait at carb exchange so i'm not bothering at the mo.

Andy prills advice was to let the engine semi-stall to bring the revs back down - works a treat

Sounds fairly normal to me, mine rarely gets above 1/4...
