No Paul, but I'm looking forward to changing my DDK calendar on Sunday and looking at your car for a month.

Any metal stockist should be able to help - if there aren't any nearby then B&Q (needs to be one of their Warehouse stores) stock it.

Does it have to be original?

Demon Tweeks et al do diamond mesh, but I don't know how closely it matches, and it is silver, not black.

Does this mean you've got an engine back in?

Most MotorFacts shops stock it - it's popular with the boy racers!

I think that the bigger Halfords stock it also.

Here's some replacing my horn grills that I got from a MotorFacts shop - they also had it in black.

Thanks guys for the replies.
Hi Paul, Well I'm actually looking forward to April 1st
as not only do I change the calender but I get the real
thing back after not seeing for quite a while.

I saw some mesh in B&Q but I was looking for the flat pressed
stuff rather than expanded metal.

This is for Mark's 914 6 as we have cut some additional
vent squares in the lid and would be nice to match the
main vent area.

I've tried a number metal workers but no joy. if I could cource
a real lid from a breaker then we could use that I suppose.
If no joy then I guess we'll have to replace the whole thing.

Thanks anyway.

.Cheers Paul

There's a 914 engine lid currently on ebay.
