3 prong centre caps and wheel nuts

Post by Topbloke »

Ladies and Gentlemen. I am in the process of getting a set of Gas Burner wheels refurbed and was wondering where the best (cheapest) place you might know of that can supply centre caps and a set of black wheel nuts.

The caps, I have seen them polished, anodised, black, and black with coloured detailing on Gas Burners in the past. Does anybody know what style they where they originally supplied with?

cheers

Mine were just plain black anodised. I've not seen them colour-detailed on burners - pretty trick though

Since Gasburners are made of magnesium I would imagine the original (silver) finish would have been stove-enamelled (or simply spray-painted).

I would imagine that the centre caps would have been similarly finished.

You can buy new 3-pronged centre caps from Forest Fine:

Hi,

The caps were the same finish as those used on Fuchs. The new caps you can buy (I am told are slightly different - it's minor details on the Porsche crest). The cheapest place for nuts is Ebay (ie http://www.partssource.autopage.co.uk/) but again they are different form the originals.

I have a set of 4 3 pronged caps that require refurb - going cheap as they are surplus to my needs
