Re: No none electric car sales from 2030??
My friends wife has just got a new audi A3 hybrid to replace her 1600 petrol A3 company car. The previous 1.6 could get 50mpg all day long but the new one struggles to get above 26mpg. She was told it would do 40 miles once batteries are fully charged but it just swallows petrol when it is charging....

Re: South African RHD 1961 Porsche 356B T5, rust free
But then again they have a lot of cars live on the coast and that is just as bad as salt on the roads. A dealer near me brings in mainly Fords from SA and I have seen some real rust free horrors!

Re: Synthetic fuel
I would ask can enough electricity be produced to run the nation? Can the infrastructure be put in place in less than 20 years to charge everybody? Will the batteries be as useless after 5 years as an i phone battery? Lots to think about. Me , I am going to run around in a jcb hydrogen tractor!

I agree with all of the above. I also see my time with 911 and Porsche World coming to an end after buying for 31 years. The last issue was pathetic.

Re: Agreed value changes: just a personal experience.
The problem with insurance companies is that they are legalised shysters. When my Grandfather was insuring an agricultural building that was old and built with whinstone and lime he questioned the fee. He was told by insurer that if it was damaged it would cost more to reinstate than a modern built ...

Re: Dehumidifiers ...
I fitted a drimaster Positive input ventilation unit in my loft to pump air into the house as we were getting lots of damp and mould in cupboards. Absolutely cured the problem quickly. I think I will fit one in my garage. The house unit cost £430 which I consider excellent value.

Re: 993 engine lid
The 964 engine lid is much longer than the 993 lid. I don't know the dimension differences but if you look at a photo with both the 964 is clearly longer.

I would also like to ask you all to watch Harry's Farm You Tube latest programme on the enviromental impact of beef farming. He explains everything so well unlike the enviromentalist's wet dream that is countryfile!

Re: Post-Brexit trade deal - Customs?
The trouble with the EU banning some agricultural chemicals was nothing to do whether they were harmful or not but just backroom deals in Germany to appease the Greens! The EU scientific officer said as much so they just got rid of her. As Jeremy Clarkson so eloquently put it when asked about going ...

I bought the latest issue yesterday and was somewhat underwhelmed. I have all issues since no.1 but I can see sadly I will probably be giving it a miss from now on

Re Audi TT import. These were the days. In 1999 I bought a mk4 golf gt tdi in Holland. List price in UK £16975 with a £475 discount for a straight sale. Saved over £6k on the Golf and then bought a Bora with similar saving for parents the next year. I kept the Golf 10 years and sold for £3500 and bo...
