Re: Solex problems / starting from hot

Thanks, Nick all of the flexi fuel hoses have been replaced recently. Would you recommend replacing the metal fuel pipe running front to back also?

Mark, so was your car running itself out of fuel then when it started vapouriising
as I am still getting petrol up to the carbs?

Solex problems / starting from hot

Hi all, last year I started having problems with the car cutting out whilst on a drive and then not starting again until it had cooled down. I have installed a new tank and completely flushed the carbs as when I inspected them it turned out that there was all kinds of stuff floating around in there ...

Re: Any thing being planned for the 912's this year?

Can you add me to the list as well please Neil. Ill be going along in it anyway but would be nice to get it on the stand if possible, although it is another 1969 Coupe in Burgundy I'm afraid.

What are the chances of getting two pitches if the numbers keep increasing?

911T engine value?

Hi all. I've had a 1970 T engine sitting around for some time now. It's complete on zenith carbs and has a sportomatic box on it. I am assuming it's going to want a rebuild.
I was just wondered how people value it??

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Cheers, Ian

Re: American Racing wheels

Apologies. You are correct, they are 10's.
If I get chance today I'll check to see if the offset is stamped or cast on the backs.

Re: American Racing wheels

Thanks for posting that Ralph, that's a great bit of info.
So it turns out that my original guess at the sizes were completely wrong and they are actually 8.5 x 15 and 11 x 15.

Re: American Racing wheels

Thanks, all opinions welcomed. They are currently on a wide body car so, no wouldn't fit a narrow body. No special wheel nuts required as they are standard Porsche fitment. I will have a better look this weekend and hopefully get chance to clean one/them up. My suspicion is from what i have seen, th...

American Racing wheels

Hello. I'm after a bit of advice really. I have a set of 7 & 8 x 15" American Racing wheels available but have absolutely no idea of the value having never seen this style wheel before. They are a bit dirty but will clean up nicely. Tyres are shot. Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks, ...

Seat covers

Hi all. I am looking to buy some replacement covers for my rather tired/sun damaged front seats. Has anyone ever used these in the U.S. or could they recommend a good value / good quality alternative. They are for my 1969 912. http://www.automotion.com/interior-parts-and-trim/seats/seat-covers-origi...

Speedo not working

Hi all. I have a problem with my speedometer. The odometer works fine but the needle does not work. I have had it out and apart today but cannot see anything obviously wrong. Can anyone offer any advice as to what may be the problem/repair and could anyone recommend contacts for sending it to for re...
