Re: I bet this is a bundle of fun to drive!
Looks brilliant ! I could go back to doing trackdays armed with that , gets over the issue of a standard 914/6 not being much quicker than the 2.0 4 pot .

Re: 356 'S'
Just to throw a bit more into this topic of 356B badging , I had been searching for a 356B Super 90 back in 1968 , was after a 5-6 year car . Had seen a couple with 'Super 90' written on the back , ended up with a (63) car with '90' written on the back and did not believe it was a proper Super 90 . ...

Re: Studer built rally car
Good story Hugo ! I was out in the Cheshire lanes in my 356C today , mainly sunny but odd patches of fog , not driving in 'rally style' but just enjoying that everything worked and not having to do big speeds to have fun .....which would have been the case driving those same roads just 10 years ago ...

Re: 356 International - Switzerland
Hi Phil, Whats the arrangement for participation in the International event - isn't it limited to the 'great n good' Thx Martin As Hendrik says , you just need to own a 356 and be quick off the mark to register as the most recent events have been space limited. If you are a member of the 'great n g...

Re: RHD UK Supplied Super 90 up for grabs
A blast from the past ! Almost exactly 50 years ago to the day in October 1968 I bought a 'one previous owner' RHD Super 90 , built Nov 1962 and supplied by AFN , first registered Jan 1963 . So pretty close to the auction car . This 6 year old car had been already repainted in Bali Blue over origina...

Re: Stone chip on pre A bonnet
Dealing with stone chips on a pre A is no different to dealing with stone chips on any other car. As Hendrik says ,if the metal is exposed you would best blob something on it right away , can use clear lacquer like my wife uses on her nails or an off white primer as that will not befar off original ...

Re: RPM
Hi S J , I use Michelin XZX 165SR15 on my 356C ( previous owner bought those) , and Pirelli Cinturato CA67 165HR15 on my 356 Outlaw '55 Continental which runs on C wheels . Both seem to work well , there's not enough power to break grip at the rear and there's not enough tread width to make steering...

Re: RPM
OT, that's a good amount of 356'ing for one day! Well , only a practice for taking the '55 to Gmund later this week for the 356 pre A International , over 3000 km round trip. Was interested in Winston's comment about motorway driving killing the engine , I have to use motorways to get to where I'm ...

Hi Phil , yesterday I drove my '55 Continental down to London W14 from Warrington Cheshire , 200 mile trip , mainly motorway M6 , M6 toll , M42 , M40 , to swap it over with a 356 I keep in London. On the same day I drove my '64 C back up from London to Cheshire , doing same 200 mile route in reverse...
