Repro front indicator housings ...
.
Anyone bought/fitted a pair of these - plastic or metal versions - in recent years ?
If so, what was the quality/fit like ?
I bought a pair ~ 15 years ago but sent them back as the quality was abysmal ... have things improved in the intervening years ?
I removed the original osf housing from my car today & it's in a terrible state & although I've repaired housings in the past, this one (& probably the n/s housing too) is almost beyond saving.

Needs a good man with a 3D printer and a bit of DIY imagination for the bulb mountings and earth.
To my surprise I found a good front one in the loft 2 days ago which i had forgotten about.
Would make a good part to scan off.

I bought a pair of metal ones from Roger Bray, a few years ago, their workshop is only 15 minutes away, for £134 each they're about £270 each now. They have to be modified to house the sidelight bulb, but an easy fix.Not bad quality.

That sounds a good deal to me.
The 3D route would be much the same i think when all done.

I didn't feel inclined to spend ~ £500 on a pair of repro metal housings so decided to have a go at repairing my existing ones ...

I have the plastic ones in my car for about 8 years now, they're 'just' OK. When the lens is on you wouldn't know, but at least they don't turn to dust and they do function.
RetroLine was the brand, can't imagine they're any better these days.
Paid £220 for the pair inc lens.

Re: Repro front indicator housings ...
Is there no one on the forum with a 3D printer that could make some of these up?
