Genuine Recaro bucket seats

Post by matteo68 »

I am looking for a pair of original Recaro bucket seats and consoles (headrests not essential) for my ‘72 ST project (fortunately I have a small frame!), whether needing restoring or not - leatherette / black corduroy preferred but will consider alternative fabrics. Not with brass eyelets please!

I believe these are what I am looking for (from a genuine M491 ST):

If anyone has something suitable, please PM me with details.

Thanks

Hi,
The seats in your picture looks like they have been re-done. They seem to have that 1328 extra little hump on the bolsters but it’s not as prominent as ones used to. Also no holes for headrests. Recaro made seats without headrest (1967/1968/911R “elephant feet”/ GT seat) but then the stitching doesn’t match….

I have this Recaro 1300 for sale:

Also have two Recaro 1328’s in my car that I’d be willing to sell. PM me your number and I can send you some pics.

Try Paul at PRS

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but he has a pair with Headrest provision - backs have Ventilation holes

Thanks to dizzycap, I believe I have found a pair of 1328s which, whilst needing recovering - ideally in old, period-correct, material, look to be the genuine items to me, so that's something else ticked off my (very long) parts list!
