'Period' 350mm Victor leather steering wheel ...

Rare used 'period' Victor leather steering wheel.

The diameter is 350 mm & I would say that the wheel was probably manufactured somewhere around the early/mid '70's.

I'm assuming that it originally had silver spokes & that a previous owner painted it black as there are a few areas (like the outer ends of the spokes) where the silver is showing - easily touched in.

The leather rim is in lovely condition with no sun-dried areas - just a few very light 'depressions' (from storage) which would probably 'massage' out.

The feel of this wheel between the hands is so much nicer in my opinion than any new/modern wheel.

The 5 mounting holes seem to have ~ 72mm pcd so you'd either need to fabricate a suitable adapter ring or you may be able to re-drill an 'off the shelf' hub.

* It's not obvious - even when handling the wheel - but there is a slight bend in the rim ... see final picture.
