SSI EXHAUST/EXCHANGERS

Post by 914-6 »

OK so what's the going rate for a good second hand pair of SSI heat exchangers ?

I'm not selling, just thinking of the options for my "S".

Cheers

Just looked at type 911. Over £1000 + VAT new, Dansk pre-'74 or SC SSIs, so I think the £800 I paid for a nearly new pair a year ago is reasonable. Your problem may be finding a set, they don't rust so why would somebody get rid of them?

Good luck. Chris.

They certainly don't seem to come up very often. I'm vaguely looking, just be nice to have them. But I suspect, vaguely looking wont ever find a pair!

We had a pair of the early ones back in the 1980's.
Crispin and I ate our lunch off them one day, just to prove that you could! :)

No, we’re having a complete year out. We have to protect Kate, our daughter, who’s on immunosuppressants for her condition.

Back to the BHC Cup next year, with any luck!
