Headliner Colour
I've bought a white (ivory?) headliner for my car for when it goes back together as that's what it had already. Just looking at that RS on ebay and it seems to have ablack headliner. It looks cool!
What colour should they be? My car has a black interior with vinyl/cord seats and will have salt/pepper carpet.
Anyone got any pics of black headliners?

My '72T, orginally silver, with a black interior, has a white (ish) headliner in it. I have seen other similar cars with the black one too.
I'm sure someone will be able to chime in to clarify whether it was a purachsers choice or not, but I guess the white helps to 'lift' the interior whilst the black looks .
Don't think it really matters either way.

I put a white headliner in mine, it really lifted the light level in the car, and to be honest, you never actually noticed it, just that it was nice and light. If you ever need to re-colour vinyl, I've used Vinylkote (sp??).
It usually comes in aerosol format in the usual basic colours. Out of interest, they also used to be able to colour-match it, plus be able to supply it in a tin (I assume for using with a spray gun).
I used it to turn a mis-matched, red, TR4 seat to black many years ago: the grain did not get filled up, and it took three years of wear (seat base remember) for the black to start going a bit pink. It would be perfect for cheering up sun-visors or a headlining. It covered well enough that I'm sure it would turn white visors to black, vise-versa might be more of a challenge though.
