Re: 1965 rhd July 911
I believe there were 9 RHD produced before the summer 1965 factory shutdown.
Six for AFN in London, three for Australia.
So, yes, fairly rare.

Re: 1965 rhd July 911
HI - I've been keeping a database of known RHD 65/66 911's - please let me know what the VIN is and we can add to the list. You'll also see a link to the database showing VIN numbers and whatever other details we have on each car. The more info we have on these rare cars the better. July 65 would make it a very early car.

If it's a UK 65 model year car (pre factory shutdown), there's only one out of the batch which is unaccounted for.
I'll be interested to see how this pans out.

By the way - to the original poster. For cars of that age (until '69) it's pretty easy to get the original factory Kardex. Much better than a CoA (which is generated from the Kardex, with details omitted and often with a few errors thrown in).
If it's a UK car, it's also not difficult to get the original AFN sales record.

Re: 1965 rhd July 911
I've been speaking with ab356 today regarding the RHD 911 and he/we are trying to get more info, pics etc. and also to confirm VIN, engine and transmission numbers. Hoping that in a few days we'll have answers - agreed very interesting to find another RHD esp a genuine 65 MY build.

I see from your posts you have quite a collection of rare cars, a 69 911T, a 65 912, the 356 RHD Cab and also this 65 RHD 911......is it just Porsches you collect or other marques too?
Would be cool to see some photos
Cheers,
Darren

I'm told that those with friends in high places at Porsche can just ask.Hugh Jorgan wrote:How do you get/who do you apply to, for the kardex??inaglasshouse wrote:Think we all will...LGK6D wrote: I'll be interested to see how this pans out.

For the rest of us, user davep on the early s registry (and I think same username on here) can get them. It costs money.
