Don't you just love a good specialist
Don't you just love a good specialist
I had to get some minor fettling and a service done on my car last year. The company I had used in the past kept putting me off and in the end I gave up waiting for a slot to take the car in.
I'd spoken to PRS https://prs356.co.uk many years ago and decided to give them a call.
I'm not one to get overly carried away but I just found dealing with Paul and Kevin to be a delight.
Paul came over to pick the car up and have a chat, then he promptly returned it after a full service and getting everything running smoothly
I gave him the original spare engine that had been out of the car for over 10 years and asked him if he could give me a quote on rebuilding it.
Nothing necessarily that different from any other good 356 specialist so far.............
This morning I got the email with the quote and this little delight

I'll post another video once the engine is rebuilt and running.

Re: Don't you just love a good specialist
PRS rebuilt my transmission, have supplied numerous parts and technical support etc for me. I think they’re marvellous and despite they’re being some considerable distance from me, I’ll happily go back for anything else I need. A really first class organisation.

a simple but clever idea to keep customers happy.

Re: Don't you just love a good specialist
Had lots of work done by them over the years on all the 356s I've owned, including my PreA gearbox.
Always, found them to be great to deal with, some of the good guys in our circles.
Love the video, just shows how much work is involved.

What a great video shows just how experienced they are making it all look so simple!! Gives people confidence to know they have done everything more than just a few times!!
From buying my car in the 60's I have never taken it to a garage apart from MOT's now no longer required. If for any reason I could not attempt a repair then PRS would be my first port of call.
Mike has helped me with advice with tips I was not aware of that saved me much hassle. That help is not forgotten.
Good guys !
Roy

Good to see.
A GOOD specialist is a very precious thing, no wonder you and others go there.
Just what is in that blue de greasing bucket?
Thanks for posting.

Ah!
Phosphoric acid! Thought as much but thought few used it now.
Coke has a lot in it hence the fizz and tingle on the tong....
A mate used to work at Schweppes in the early 70's and used the stuff to clean Chevy blocks and heads, and anything else.
