The drive over for us was bloody fantastic

The meet itself for us was lacking. the vibe was missing. It was flat. The company we were in and the people we met was all good but the event was lacking purpose.

Darren's mongrel in the flesh was something to see and hear on its way out of the event was something. Garry Halls 67s was something else in the flesh.

See Neil Bardsley's pictures in the what did you do.....

Hi All

Yes it definitely felt a bit soulless, the layout seemed strung out, perhaps because of the venue? Personally I was attending to look at cars and meet up with people so not so bothered about a Castle and stuff, somewhere in the middle of the country with a pub and a field would be fine with me. In my opinion it needed some energy or passion, whether that was music or cars on the move i don't know but for me apart from the company i was in it was all a little dull.

I agree with Sean, the best bit was the drive over, at least i will remember that!

Only my opinion mind you

Cheers
Paul

I quite enjoyed the day! It was really good seeing SeanP, Danny & Neil again and great to meet Tom (three50six) in person and to meet Darren and see (and hear!) his wonderful car.

I can understand what previous posters have said about it being flat, but for me it's about meeting people and catching up as well as maybe buying some parts.
So I was very happy, especially with what I managed to buy. :)

Popped in to aid in deciding what colour to paint ours, agree it was a bit flat. Nice to see some ddk cars though but didn't stop to chat as long drive home.

Few shots from me:

a few of one of the first RHD 911s to come into the UK in 1965, this car has literally just finished being restored, good to see a lot of the original interior is still present in this one

Is that right?

I didn't have a proper look, but given the S style wheel finish and 1966 plate I thought it was an early S.
