914 and 914/6 wanted for photo shoot

Post by MartinP »

Hope no-one minds me posting here since I'm no longer a Porsche owner, but I'm looking for a 914 (flat four) and 914/6 for a photo shoot. The derivative of the four-cylinder doesn't really matter as much as the fact that they both need to be extremely presentable (as I know most of the cars on here are!), and in as near to original-spec and appearance as possible. Obviously the usual modifications aren't a problem providing it looks and handles with the same sort of character as when out of the factory.

The cars will appear in Classic & Sports Car magazine and ideally the shoot will take place in the southern half of the country. It will take most of a day and will need to be on a week day I'm afraid. Petrol costs will be reimbursed, you will receive copies of the photographs taken and of the magazine when printed and we won't let you go hungry on the day!

We will need to drive the cars, but this will mostly be at low speed for photography purposes. There is no performance testing involved and we insure the vehicles to the value you quote from the outset.

Unfortunately we need to shoot this within the next three weeks, so if you know anyone who may be interested, or you are interested yourself then please email me directly: martin.port@haymarket.com

Many thanks in advance of your help

Great article and pictures, but can somebody please point me in the right direction for a project 914/6 for between £6-10K or an 'on the road' car for £20K as I can't find any

Is that really what it says?! Where do they get their info from!! You'd think a mag like that would do its homework!

This is £21,000, if it helps... and it's on the road. Albeit a way away from your house

That's quite a buy – but worrying that he talks about driving it without the fan belt...

Not bad for a conversion but if I'm not mistaken the article was referring to original 914/6's not conversions.
