1972 911 rear wings wanted
My Excutive boss (wife) has suggested that I do away with the Carlos Fandango rear arches and fit the standard ones. I would like slightly wider ones and some decent looking wheels to match.
They have been chopped about 4" above the arch and nearly horizontal arches bonded on.
The front has been modified to a flat nose which i like but has slightly wider front end
Any suggestions where I can buy repair sections and some nice wheels?

I would upload pics if was simple. My wheels are 12" wide on the rear, sticking out 7" from the brake disc mating face.

Ooh teasing! Sound like rsr ones.. Re your options, if you have enough qtr panel in place you might be able to get a STD set of carrera arches (think sc/32 carrera) they are standard, anything less than this is narrow ala pre 73 esq. If you want to be a bit more funky you can get carrera RS type arches which are the same just a slightly rounder profile/edge barely noticeable. I think carrera arches are good for 9" rears. Bank on about £150 a side for dansk type steel arches new to stitch in place..
That is assuming you have enough meat left in your car. Since you have fandango arches it may be youve already lost about a turbos worth of arch metal in which case you might be better to get a full qtr panel.
Qtrs are about 600 a side but non Porsche are only narrow sided so you may still need to add a carrera arch on to them
A nice compromise might be an St rear arch. I think they are about 9 or 10 inch wide and being larger flares may fill the gap.
If you need any panels I can do a good price new via work.
Wheels. You can't do better than fuch in my mind and design911 do a cracking set of repo 7 and 8x16 which look great on carrera arches. About £1200 with new tyres.
All depends on what you want to achieve.. Have you got a fandango rear wing to sell?

Thanks guys.
74rsman, can you pm your contact details please.
I have broken the 'secret wheel society' now. I have been informed by the chaps at Karmannkonnection that RS would be too wide. The Carerra sounds the way to go but being a Targa, I want to take away some of its stumpy look.
I do llike the look of the rounded edge arch

Nope. I think I've been a bad boy also. It won't let me PM you.
