'Interestingly', my wife seems to think there's a hand throttle (or is that brake) for the car in my nether regions - works for her every time .

Eek, I'll have to get a wife, and then see how that works : I've looked in the Haynes manual, and can't find any reference to this particular system: damn Haynes .
