Replacement Windscreen?

Post by Car Collector »

Anyone know where I can get a replacement screen for an M&W please?
Managed to drop a hammer on mine whilst fixing the roof of the garage!
I know the 'obvious answer' but they are not really that interested - dont even answer the phone!!
Doh.......

I saw Barry at HC on Saturday

He has always been reasonably easy to get hold of when I have tried.

Superb Insured Service and only £122 delivered! Mine arrived in a crate I could have made a garden shed out of.

At the time I was looking (4 weeks ago) Chesil no longer sent screens, and Pilgrim tried, but it got smashed by PARCELFARCE.

Are you sure you have the correct phone number Car Collector ? 01264 773202. Judging by the number of "junk" calls I get trying to sell me everything from water coolers to mobile phones nobody else has a problem.

Replacement Windscreen

Post by Car Collector »

Many thanks to 904GTS - I have to say that IS the tel. # that I have been calling - can assure you I wasn't trying to sell double glazing, whatever
- just get a replacement windscreen.

Still it's an ill wind as they say..............

After I saw Martin Craven's (Classic Roadsters) response on the forum ,I made contact and he even arranged to do a detour and meet me before travelling up to Stoneleigh at the weekend and I'm now the proud owner of TWO clear Speedster screens for the all in cost of £150 + VAT - the PAIR.

That's still £30.00 less than Autoglass wanted for ONE! One's going to be a spare locked safely in my garage - away from offending hammers!

Nice one Martin - pity you weren't around earlier when I was getting all my other accessories, oh well I WILL be buying some of those Conolly hides of yours to have my interior revamped in Leather.

Refreshing to see a manufacturer putting himself out to provide that personal service - and at a great price - thanks again.

PS Can you send me some info regarding the racks as well please? Apparently the spare wheel 'is in the wrong place because it doesnt matter if it gets wet!!' Women!!!

Replacement Windscreen

Post by martinpcraven »

Hi Jon - Nice to meet up at last..... Glad the new screen was OK. Loved the ceremonial burial plot (for the hammer!) I will also sort out the leather hides that you wanted and get a hold of a set of seats with the holes in the back for you too. Hope Heather is feeling a bit better - Hayfever is a terrible thing when one suffers as bad as she seemed to be.......

If there is anything elese you need, you have my number - just give me a call.

Kindest regards

Hey Martin,

Can you get hold of bumper guards for 356 Replicas? I can e-mail me a picture of what I'm after if it helps.
