IMHO it looks odd, the front wheels area I mean. And POA, I always press the next button when I see that.

I've had a go in that. It was about three years ago and was on 6" mag minilites at the time.
Dave Dennet of DSD motorwerks did a fair few bits on it I think.

It looked much better on the skinny minilites with tall tyres. They were grey I think.
It went well enough, not the angriest 2.7 but ran properly and was easy to drive, very much a road car engine rather than race car. Which I guess is what you want for endurance.
I think it had modern air con fitted by Paul Stephens, the same kit they fit to PS cars, and quite a good thing for long hot tours.
Buy it.

Not quite ready to pull the trigger yet but will talk to them on the strength of your recommendation.

Obviously, when I say buy it, I mean get it inspected and if the price is right then buy it.
I think Specialist Cars of Malton sold it for £70k odd in 2011 or 12.

Do yourself a favour and talk to Dave at DSD about it.. bit rough around the edges with some bodge work done by some big names. I looked at it up on a ramp and saw it more as a resto project than a turnkey race car..

I enquired after this car quite a while ago. IIRC the seller has passed away, leaving the car in the care of his widow. The car isnt with RPS and they dont have any detailed information about the car or the price. They also had no indication when they would be in a position to provide that info so I just forgot about it.

The owner when it was at DSD was a happy chappy called Steve who was probably in his 50s. Hope he ain't dead.

That aircon box on the dash is a monstrosity!
And the old- school roll cage probably fouls the window winders
Bit of an odd thing with the full cage trip timers etc but then the seats, door trims with speakers etc are very road spec
Interesting though. What about the black car on Paul Stephens with number roundels or the full monte ST rep coming up for auction (ad on Pistonheads) ?

Seems the owner is now in two minds about selling anyway but if it does proceed they'll be looking for circa £90,000. So, either way I'm out - hoped that maybe the oddness, combined with the need for extra work and the length of time it's been around for sale would push the price down a bit, should've known better in the current market
