My 'new' type3 squareback

Post by sjm »

Hi all - apologies for the number of pics, but I got my square from Paul at Type3/ Type2 Detectives today. Chuffed to bits with it! The car was standard when I got it, but we decided to get some 911 seats in it, re-trimmed etc, new headlining, turtlebacks and a bit of lowering... Going back next year I think to go lower.... :bom:

That is lovely. Groaned at the 'Porsche seats' bit, then was proven massively wrong by the photo. Another big want face.

That's a really lovely thing. I echo the want.
I had a late Square many years ago - mine was in Invalid Blue with added rust. I still miss it.

Love it, its always tempting to get back into an aircooled VW.

I'm just off to peruse the classifieds. :)

Me too, there is a project razor edge ghia on eBay at the moment. It would turn into another car sat in the corner of the workshop waiting for attention though :(

Maybe I should just hotrod my 356 instead?

Your car looks great - Paul does a great job - I love squares - I've just bought this off a very good friend of mine and driving it home across France - I'm picking it up in six weeks time - can't wait !

But 100x uglier and they must have the decimal point in the wrong place on that Kev.

This is nicer!

Needs bumpers putting back on.

If you really want to treat yourself Jason go for a early Squareback like the one referenced above purchased from Brian Burrows. Now they're even cooler than über cool

I used to have a Razor Edge. They rust as badly if not worse than early 911s!
