Post by Neill W »

Good to see quite a few DDK stickers at Yorkshire Big Breakfast over at Malton this morning. Hi to everyone I ended up chatting with. Can't believe I left my iPhone at home...

Nice weather too, thank the Lord..

it was a good meet :) Had a great drive over ( not in a Porsche though ) , met up with nearly every DDK'er that was there etc . Less exotica than usual but still an interesting mix of cars. shame about the mustang that seems to be overshadowing everything ( we saw it happen too )

Hadn't realised that anything had happened, I'd gone by then.

Looks like he reached into his bucket of skill and it wasn't as full as he thought...

That's why I don't often go to big car meets, the Muppet / chav element make me want to punch someone.

Yep! He made a good mess of it. Saw it as I was leaving stuffed in the tree with recovery truck trying to turn the alarm off. Not sure why the driver did a runner though. Maybe he was too embarrassed to hang about. Don't think the meeting is as good as previous years. Seems to be a lot of track suits and go faster fiestas this year instead of the unusual sports stuff that visits. Think it might be a victim of its own success. Good to meet up with the guys from DDK though.

Yes, I thought the quality was down a little. Rare stuff probably kept away due to the recent bad weather. Lack of Police presence at that junction as opposed to in previous events led to the Billies getting too excited. Still, if you put on the bullshit deflectors, there were still some nice cars there.

Eldest, newly qualified, son now firmly in the belief that his future car ownership ambitions lie towards a Lotus Elise (after a track session in one on Sat) and a lightweight early 911.

Good lad...

Enamel badges were produced by Ferryman in limited numbers and were available to members many moons ago to purchase

A second batch were produced due to demand but no more, hence they're mythical status and recent success when one came up for auction
