I'm looking to fit some harnesses to my Chesil speedster kit, and would appreciate some advice.
For the rear (vertical) straps I'm planning to use some captive threads within the chassis, which are intended for rear seat belts. There are 4 near the centre line of the car (probably each spaced about 3" apart) and another two closer to the outsides, at the outside corner of the seat base. Would the position of these be suitable for fitting harnesses, and which would be best to use (basically I don't know where the rear straps of harnesses are best positioned).
I'm using MX5 highback seats if that makes any difference.
Finally what sort of harnesses are best to use, 3 or 4 point ?

I found when I fitted my 4 point harness using the standard lap belt bolting points that the angle of the lap section was outside of the manufacturers mounting recomendations. I had to move them forward about 200mm. New harnesses should come with mounting instructions,
